About Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel: A love story

Stainless steel is enjoying a surge in popularity as an eco-friendly, sustainable metal for jewellery.

What makes it such an attractive material?

  • It’s fully recyclable and can be re-used. In fact, it can be recycled many times over without losing its qualities (durability and rust-resistance).

  • It’s not harmful or toxic to the environment.

  • Like silver, it can be shiny or sandblasted, but it doesn't tarnish like silver.

  • It's very light and also resilient to water so it will not rust.

  • It's durability and affordability make it attractive to producers and consumers alike.

Note: Although stainless steel is extremely durable, you should take care of your stainless-steel jewellery as any jewellery is still a delicate item.

Allergies?

Some people are allergic to nickel and could be sensitive to some jewellery with high nickel content. Although there is no absolute guarantee that wearing stainless steel causes no allergies, stainless steel jewellery contains no nickel at all or has a very low nickel content and as such, it is generally considered a non-allergenic alloy. Stainless steel is the recommended choice of jewellery for people who are sensitive to metals.

Environmentally friendly

Stainless steel is fully recyclable! Its production does not emit any significant amount of carbon dioxide, so it's much more environmentally friendly than other materials.

Stainless steel is one of the most durable and long-lasting substances in the world! It can last for decades and as such it is regarded as a green and eco-friendly alloy.

Demand for stainless steel is increasing around the world as more and more new users appreciate its attractive appearance, corrosion-resistance, low maintenance and durability. It’s also regarded as among the most hygienic materials.

....and we are steel crazy....
